Tips from Alykhan Velji
1. Always measure your space before heading out shopping. This way you won't buy pieces that are too big or too small for your space.
2. Contrast. It's ok to have dark colour in a small space as long as you pair it with lighter colours and vice versa.
3. Mirrors are a great way to expand any space visually. Incorporate mirrors on walls and furniture pieces.
4. Multifunctional furniture is a must! Pick pieces that serve dual purposes such as storage ottomans or stools.
5. Reflection is a great medium to play up in a small space. Finishes such high gloss, glass, or lucite are perfect as they reflect light and create visual space.
